A 19-year-old tractor driver, Pujeri Majhi, died tragically in a tractor accident in Basbariya rural municipality-3, Sarlahi. The incident occurred on March 17th at approximately 7 pm when the tractor overturned in a canal while returning from fieldwork.
The tractor’s owner, 50-year-old Sanjeev Kumar Yadav, survived the accident and is currently absconding. Police have taken the tractor into custody and sent Majhi’s body to the Provincial Hospital Malangwa in Sarlahi for an autopsy.
