The body of Chandrika Kumari Das, a 23-year-old staff nurse at Nobel Teaching Hospital, was discovered in a house in Biratnagar Metropolitan City-4. Police spokesperson, DSP Ranjan Kumar Dahal, confirmed the murder.
Das, originally from Siraha’s Phulkahakatti, had been residing at the house for only 3-4 months. Her body was found this afternoon in the attached toilet of her room, bearing severe injuries to her neck, face, and other areas. Police believe she was killed with a sharp weapon.
DSP Dahal stated, “The exact location of the murder within the room is unclear.”
An ongoing investigation is underway, and police sources suspect the involvement of a partner.
