A bus belonging to Small Heaven School in Kalyanpur, Chitwan was deliberately set on fire while en route to pick up students. The incident occurred near Bharatpur Metropolitan City in the Dadreni area.
According to the school, a group of six individuals on three motorcycles intercepted the bus, doused it with petrol, and ignited it. The bus, identified as Bagmati Province bus number Province 06 001 Ka 0045, was destroyed in the fire. The perpetrators also stole the co-driver’s mobile phone before fleeing the scene.
The co-driver reported that the group had previously threatened to take action, and this incident appears to be a fulfillment of that threat.
The District Police Office in Chitwan has deployed a team to investigate the incident and apprehend the culprits.
