Wildfires raging in Salyan district have destroyed 16 homes across three settlements in Kapurkot and Chhatreshwori Rural Municipalities. An additional 29 homes remain at risk as firefighters struggle to contain the blaze within the National Forest.
The fires have caused extensive damage beyond homes, destroying valuable crops for farmers, including oranges, lemons, and vegetables. Police estimate the losses exceed 20 lakh Nepali rupees. Displaced residents are currently seeking shelter with relatives.
