The Nepal Police Cyber Bureau has arrested Rashmila Dhami of Bajhang on charges of character assassination through social media. The arrest took place in Tokha, Kathmandu, following a complaint filed by an individual alleging defamation on social media platforms.
Dhami was detained on Sunday and presented before the Kathmandu District Court on Monday. The police have requested permission from the court to hold her for further investigation.
