Nepal Police Fraudulent Visas

The police have arrested Babilal Thapa of Rudrapur, Rupandehi, for attempting to send three women to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) on fraudulent visit visas. Krishna Hari Sharma, Head of Tribhuvan International Airport Security Office (SSP), stated that the women were stopped at the airport and the agent apprehended due to suspicions of human trafficking.

SSP Sharma confirmed that Thapa is under further investigation by the Valley Crime Investigation Office. Increased police vigilance at the airport comes in response to concerns about potential human trafficking schemes and individuals being lured abroad under the pretenses of employment.

Recent investigations have revealed that agents have been using UAE visit visas to facilitate the illegal transport of Nepalis to Russia under the guise of joining the Russian army.
