An individual suspected of drug trafficking was apprehended by the Armed Police Force at a checkpoint in Badhaiyatal rural municipality. The apprehended woman, identified as 45-year-old Asha Rai from Lamahi Municipality-4 of Dang, was found in possession of a substance resembling hashish, believed to be destined for India.
Superintendent Chitrang Dahal of the Armed Police disclosed that Rai was nabbed with a total of 5.925 kilograms of the suspected drugs.
Furthermore, during the arrest at the Nepal-India border crossing, authorities also seized 3,000 Indian rupees and 1,200 Nepalese rupees from Rai. She was intercepted by the Armed Police Force while en route to India and has since been turned over to the appropriate authorities for further legal proceedings.
