Police in Kathmandu have arrested a bus driver possessing 18.5 lakh rupees of undisclosed origin. The arrest took place in Chandragiri Municipality-2 Nagdhunga.
The 23-year-old driver, Risab Shrestha of Rupandehi, was driving bus number Lu 2 kha 4535 when apprehended by a team from the Nagdhunga Police Division. Shrestha claims that a 37-year-old man, Debendra Neupane, also of Rupandehi, instructed him to deliver the money to Kathmandu.
Authorities are currently investigating the source of the funds.
