Pakistan will aim to finish their T20I series against Sri Lanka on a high when the two sides meet in the third and final match at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium on Tuesday, October 13. Sahibzada Farhan’s team has already secured an unassailable 2-0 lead after winning the opening game by four wickets and following it up with a commanding 82-run victory in the second. Farhan led the chase in the first match with an impressive 89 off 53 balls, while Maaz Sadaqat nearly produced a century in the next game, smashing 96 off 51 deliveries to power Pakistan to 215.
With the series already decided, Pakistan will be eager to complete a 3-0 whitewash and give Farhan’s captaincy a further boost in his first stint as skipper. Their bowling attack also delivered in the second T20I, with Mohammad Imran Randhawa claiming three wickets for just 11 runs as Sri Lanka were restricted to 133/7 while chasing 216. Sri Lanka, meanwhile, will be desperate to avoid a clean sweep and end the tour with a win. Their batters need to show greater consistency after struggling in the previous two matches, while improvements in the field will also be crucial against a confident Pakistan side.
