The Netherlands kicked off their ICC T20 World Cup campaign in style, defeating Nepal by a convincing 6-wicket margin in a Group D encounter at the Grand Prairie Stadium.

Nepal, returning to the World Cup after a decade-long absence, were restricted to a modest 106 runs in their allotted 19.2 overs. Opener Rohit Paudel top-scored with a fighting 35 runs, but the lack of significant partnerships hurt their chances. Dutch bowler Logan van Beek was the wrecker-in-chief, claiming a crucial three wickets.

In reply, the Netherlands chased down the target with 8 balls to spare, showcasing their batting prowess.
