Nepal’s Kalimati Fruits and Vegetable Market Sets Wholesale Prices for Produce

The Kalimati Fruits and Vegetable Market Development Committee has set the maximum wholesale prices for various agricultural products in Nepal.

According to the committee, the prices for various fruits and vegetables have been fixed as follows: tomatoes (local) at Rs 60 per kilogram, tomatoes (Indian) at Rs 80 per kilogram, potatoes (red, long) at Rs 51 per kilogram, potatoes (red, round) at Rs 52 per kilogram, potatoes (red, mudhe) at Rs 52 per kilogram, potatoes (red, Indian) at Rs 37 per kilogram, and potatoes (white) at Rs 36 per kilogram.

Other prices include carrots (local) at Rs 120 per kilogram, carrots (Tarai) at Rs 80 per kilogram, cauliflower (local) at Rs 120 per kilogram, radish (red) at Rs 30 per kilogram, radish (white, hybrid) at Rs 30 per kilogram, beans (long) at Rs 50 per kilogram, and beans (dallo) at Rs 70 per kilogram.

The committee has also fixed prices for various other fruits and vegetables, including green chilies, bitter gourd, bottle gourd, cucumber, and leafy greens like spinach and mustard greens.

In addition, prices for fruits like apples, bananas, oranges, and grapes have been fixed, with apples (Fuji) at Rs 300 per kilogram, bananas (Nepali) at Rs 300 per dozen, and oranges (Malbhog) at Rs 200 per kilogram.

The prices are effective for the current day and are subject to change based on market conditions.
