Nepal into T20I Final

Nepal has secured their spot in the finals of the Tri-Nations T20 International Series in Hong Kong after a crushing 85-run victory over Papua New Guinea (PNG).

PNG won the toss and elected to bowl, but Nepal’s batsmen were unstoppable. Openers Kushal Bhurtel (59 runs) and Sandeep Jora (56 runs) both scored explosive half-centuries, setting the stage for a formidable 198/6. Binod Bhandari, Lokesh Bam, Bibek Yadav, and Gulsan Jha added crucial runs to boost Nepal’s total.

In reply, PNG’s chase collapsed despite efforts from Hiri Hiri (28 runs) and Sese Bau (21 runs). Nepal’s bowling attack, led by a four-wicket haul from Kushal Bhurtel, was relentless. Pratish GC, Aakash Chand, and Gulsan Jha also claimed wickets as PNG were all out for 113 in 17 overs.

This resounding victory propels Nepal into the finals, where they’ll aim to continue their impressive tournament form.
