Nepal Secures Championship Title in SMS Friendship Cup

Koshi Haraicha, Koshi Province, Nepal – Nepal’s cricket team has brought home a thrilling victory by winning the SMS Friendship Cup in India. In a captivating final match held on Sunday, Nepal outplayed the Gujarat Cricket Association by a decisive margin of 18 runs.

Nepal, showcasing their batting prowess after winning the toss, posted an impressive target of 177 runs for Gujarat. In response, Gujarat’s determined chase fell short as they could only manage 158 runs, losing eight wickets in their allotted 20 overs.

Captain Rohit Paudel spearheaded Nepal’s batting effort with a brilliant 74-run innings. Aasif Sheikh provided valuable support with 34 runs, while Kushal Bhurtel (19), Dipendra Singh Airee (7), Kushal Malla (31), and Sandeep Jora (7) also contributed to Nepal’s total. Gujarat’s bowlers Jaymit Patel, Shen Patel, and Tejas Patel each claimed one wicket.
