KATHMANDU: The Nepali Congress statute grants the party president the authority to nominate leaders to various positions within the party. Under the statute, the president can nominate four joint general secretaries.
The president can also nominate 61 central working committee members. The statute also allows the president to select the party treasurer from among the nominated central members.
