Monsoon rains arrived in Nepal this morning, bringing light to moderate showers with thunder and lightning to various parts of the country, including the Kathmandu Valley.

The Meteorological Division reported that the eastern part of Nepal is currently experiencing the strongest influence of the monsoon system, while the rest of the country is affected by local air conditions and a low-pressure area near Bihar, India.

  • Rest of Nepal: Mostly clear to partly cloudy skies with isolated rain showers possible.
