The Department of Water and Meteorology has announced the arrival of the monsoon season in India’s northeastern region, Bangladesh, Bhutan, and Sikkim. The official “Monsoon Arrival Monitoring Bulletin” published on Saturday confirms this development.
While the monsoon has reached these neighboring regions, the department reports it may take a few more days to enter eastern Nepal. The expected arrival date for eastern Nepal is set for June 13th.
Meteorologists anticipate an earlier-than-usual monsoon arrival this year. The Department of Water and Meteorology assures continuous monitoring of the monsoon system by the Meteorological Division, with regular updates to be provided.
