BAJHANG, Nepal – A fatal lightning strike in the Bajhang district has claimed the life of one person and left seven others injured. The deceased has been identified as 52-year-old Gajendra Bahadur Singh, a resident of the Jayaprithvi Municipality. The incident occurred at approximately 9 pm on Friday.
Mr. Singh’s family members were also injured in the lightning strike. Those receiving treatment at the district hospital include his daughter Shanti Singh, son Dhirendra Bahadur Singh, wife Nisha Singh, daughter Kritika Singh, Panchadevi Singh, son Nitesh Singh, and daughter Lakshmi Singh.
Local authorities have investigated the incident and declared the situation safe. The body of the deceased has been transferred to the district hospital’s mortuary for a post-mortem examination.
