Former NC Syangja Chairman Khagendra Raj Regmi Passes Away at 75

Khagendra Raj Regmi, the former Chairman of Nepali Congress Syangja and a former Member of Parliament, has passed away at the age of 75. He breathed his last on Tuesday morning at his residence in Gejhbas, Bhirkot Municipality, Syangja.

Regmi had been battling cancer for an extended period. Despite treatment in Kathmandu, he was discharged from the hospital as his condition did not show signs of improvement.

A former member of the National Assembly as well, Regmi leaves behind his wife as the sole member of his family. It is anticipated that his body will be laid to rest at the District Party Office Syangja, with a final viewing scheduled for 11 am.

Throughout his life, Regmi dedicated himself to the field of education. His commitment was evident even in the face of adversity, as he survived being shot and injured by Maoists on February 9, 2002. His memoir, titled ‘Mero Jiwan Yatra Yatanako Pida Ko Katha’, has been published, chronicling his life journey.
