‘Kayata Tanmha Newaḥ’ secures top spot

By A Staff Reporter, Kathmandu, Oct. 9: A valley-wide comedy-satire drama competition, organised by ‘Munasah’, concluded on Wednesday.

Founding members Madan Krishna Shrestha and Shreeram Shrestha recounted that ‘Munasah’ was established 50 years ago to foster comedy-satire drama in Nepalbhasha.

 They noted that the organisation’s rule of allowing participation only on an institutional basis led to the birth of numerous other Nepalbhasha organisations. Malla K. Sundar, Chancellor of the Nepalbhasha Academy, said the history behind the establishment of ‘Nepalbhasha Manka Khalaḥ’, which was formed to unite these various organisations.
