A 26-day-old infant, who was reported missing from Paropakar Maternity and Women’s Hospital in Kathmandu on Friday, has been safely recovered. Police apprehended a woman in the Kandaghari area of Kathmandu in connection with the incident.
CCTV footage played a crucial role in identifying the suspect, who was seen wearing a mask while carrying the child. The baby’s mother, a resident of Kavre who is receiving treatment at the hospital, had been left distraught by the incident.
Investigations are currently underway to uncover the motive behind the woman’s actions. The suspect’s identity and any possible relationship with the child or family remain unknown.
