A motorcycle accident this morning in Kapilvastu claimed the life of one person and seriously injured another.
The incident occurred near Mahita Chowk in Kapilvastu Municipality-3. The deceased has been identified as 23-year-old Kumar Tharu, a resident of Sainamaina Municipality-5 Gadwa in Rupandehi district.
According to Hari Bahadur Oli, Deputy Superintendent of Police of the District Police Office, Kapilvastu, the motorcycle (Lu 44 Pa 1314) was traveling towards Taulihawa when it veered off the road and crashed. The driver, 38-year-old Nir Kumar Tharu of Gadwa village, sustained serious injuries.
Due to the severity of his condition, Nir Kumar Tharu was transferred to Medical College Bhairahawa for further treatment after initial care at Kapilvastu Hospital Taulihawa proved insufficient.
