Kandara Embarks on ‘Rhythm of Change’ US Concert Tour

Kandara band has kicked off their two-month-long US concert tour, ‘Rhythm of Change’, from Boston. The musical journey, which began on Friday, aims to connect with the Nepali community in the US through music and promote Nepali art and culture.

According to a press release issued by the band on Sunday, the tour will feature performances in cities like Dallas, Atlanta, Colorado, San Francisco, and Chicago from August 7 to September 30. The band’s founder and lead singer, Bibek Shrestha, stated that the tour’s objective is to use music as a medium to promote positive change and social transformation.

‘Rhythm of Change’ is not just a musical tour for us, but a campaign to connect with the Nepali community in the US and promote our language, culture, and heritage,’ Shrestha said. ‘We believe that music can play a significant role in promoting unity and social change, and we hope to inspire the Nepali community to come together and celebrate our shared culture.’

Kandara’s music is known for its unique blend of traditional Nepali folk music and modern styles, and their songs often focus on themes such as social justice, nature, and love. The band has been active for over three decades and has released numerous popular songs, including ‘Lekaki Hey Maya’, ‘Hong Kong Pokhara’, and ‘Timi Pari’.

The band’s international manager, Prasiddha Khanal, noted that music has the power to bring people together and inspire positive change. ‘Our goal is to use Kandara’s music as a medium for social transformation and to promote a sense of unity and shared culture among the Nepali community,’ she said.
