Jake Paul sparked a debate with his remarks about political protesters after taking the stage at US President Donald Trump’s rally in Youngstown, Ohio, on Monday, October 12. The YouTuber-turned-boxer criticised left-wing demonstrators, questioning why they were protesting rather than working.

“I get confused by the left, the protesters. Do they not have jobs? That’s all they do, just carry signs around while we’re doing the work,” Paul said, as quoted by The Independent.

The remarks came as Paul appeared alongside Trump at a rally held at the Covelli Centre, where the president was campaigning for Republican candidates ahead of the November 3 midterm elections.
