The 2024 Tokyo Conference of the International Network for Nepali Journalists (INNJA) has elected a new leadership, led by Gunaraj Luintel, for a four-year term. The conference, which began on February 29, concluded on March 1.
The newly elected executive committee includes Bishnu Shital (senior vice president), Tanka Panta, Kishore Sapkota, and Dadi Sapkota (vice presidents), Deepak Rijal (general secretary), and Anand Koirala (secretary). Their unanimous election took place during the event.
Additionally, Rita Sapkota, Kamal Dhakal, Dhruba Paudel, Bishnu Sharma, Dawa Dhakal, Binesh Khanal, Bijay Thapa, Ankush Nepal, and Khem Bhattachan have been appointed as members of the new committee.
The election results were announced by an election committee led by senior journalist Bhushan Ghimire, with Krishna Paudel and Srijana Dhakal as members. INNJA, headquartered in America, was established on March 1, 2018.
