The month-long multi-format action between India and the West Indies is about to end tonight at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru with the fifth and final T20I. With the series level at 2-2, everything rests on this winner-takes-all clash. For India, it is a matter of protecting a proud home record, the Men in Blue have not lost a bilateral T20I series on home soil since 2019. For Rovman Powell’s West Indies squad, a victory tonight would make them the first side in over seven years to defeat India in a home T20I series.

M. Chinnaswamy Pitch Report:

The pitch at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium is renowned for its small boundary dimensions and a flat, fast outfield; Bengaluru is a batter’s paradise. Fans should expect a high-scoring game where 200+ is par.

The toss factor would depend on the overcast conditions in Bengaluru, which could offer initial movement for the swing bowlers under lights, but the captain winning the toss will almost certainly choose to chase, given the ground’s history of heavy dew in the second innings.
