ICC President Greg Barclay visited the Ministry of Youth and Sports, Singha Darbar on Wednesday to meet Youth and Sports Minister Birajbhakta Shrestha. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the development and enhancement of Nepali cricket.
During the meeting, President Barclay and Minister Shrestha engaged in a special conversation about the growth of cricket in Nepal and its significance on the international stage. President Barclay acknowledged the increasing popularity of cricket in Nepal and expressed the ICC’s excitement and commitment to supporting Nepal’s cricket development efforts.
Minister Shrestha welcomed the support of the ICC and emphasized the ministry’s determination to promote cricket as a means of youth empowerment and national pride.
President Barclay’s visit to Nepal was part of a four-day trip. In addition to meeting with Minister Shrestha, he also had the opportunity to meet with Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal to discuss matters related to cricket and sports development in Nepal.
