BNN Breaking’s content frequently contained errors and inaccuracies that mirrored the mistakes typically made by AI chatbots. This spam website seemed to rely on Google Search results, where their articles would often rank higher than the sources they stole from. This practice harmed legitimate news sites by diverting traffic and advertising revenue.
Google had previously pledged to combat spam websites. While initial skepticism was warranted, as BNN Breaking content remained visible, it seems the search giant is now taking more substantial action. Searches for “BNN Breaking” on both Google’s main search page and within Google News now show the spam website much further down the results, or not at all.
