Gandhinagar Municipal Corporation Election Live Results: The latest Gandhinagar Municipal Corporation (GMC) election has kept the BJP in charge of the Gujarat capital’s civic administration, but the results have also brought changes to the opposition’s representation. The BJP won 38 of the 44 seats, Congress secured five, and an Independent candidate won one, while the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) failed to win a seat despite fielding candidates in 32 constituencies.

Officials declared the results on Tuesday, October 13, after polling on October 11 across the corporation’s 11 wards. A total of 130 candidates contested the election.

The results show that the BJP retained a clear majority, although its seat tally declined from 41 in the 2021 election. Congress increased its representation from two seats to five, while AAP lost the single seat it had won in the previous poll. The election also produced a notable result in Ward 6, where Congress won all four seats.
