Five people arrested for drug trafficking in Kathmandu

KATHMANDU: Police have arrested five individuals on charges of involvement in drug trafficking. The Narcotics Control Bureau confirmed that the group includes three Indian nationals and two Nepali citizens.

The three Indian nationals, identified as 19-year-old Pushpam Prakash, 25-year-old Mahesh Kumar, and 19-year-old Sonu Kumar from Samastipur district in Bihar, were intercepted at the Nagdhunga checkpoint while traveling on a bus from Janakpur to Kathmandu. Authorities recovered 32.730 grams of brown heroin from their possession.
