Country singer Ella Langley has explained why she stood by her decision to cancel a concert in Tulsa, Oklahoma, at the last minute, even after local police said they had found no credible threat at the venue. Addressing fans during her next performance, the 27-year-old singer said she would make the same decision again if she believed their safety was at risk.
Langley was scheduled to perform at the BOK Center on Friday, October 9, as part of her Dandelion Tour. The show was called off just hours before it was due to begin after her team cited a serious security threat involving the safety of concertgoers, venue personnel and the artist.
The cancellation came after police received a warning about potential violence at the venue. Officers searched the premises with bomb detection dogs but reported finding no credible threat. The Tulsa Police Department later said it had informed the performer’s team about its findings, but the decision to cancel the show was ultimately made by Langley’s team.
