A clinical bowling performance set the stage for Delhi’s dominance, as they bundled out Gujarat for a paltry 89 runs. The chase proved a mere formality, with Delhi cruising to a 6-wicket victory with a massive 67 balls remaining.
Rashid Khan offered some resistance for Gujarat, top-scoring with 32 runs, but his efforts were in vain. Delhi’s bowlers, spearheaded by Mukesh Kumar’s three-wicket haul, were too potent. Tristan Stubb and Ishant Sharma each chipped in with two wickets, while Khaleel Ahmed and Akshar Patel claimed one apiece.
In reply, Delhi’s batters made light work of the target. Despite losing four wickets, they never looked troubled. Jake Fraser McGurk (20), Shai Hope (19), Abishek Porel (15), and captain Rishabh Pant (16*) all contributed as Delhi secured their third IPL win of the season.
