Daler Mehndi, a popular Punjabi singer, recently came under scrutiny due to some unfortunate happenings in a cultural event organized in Uttarakhand. Invited as the main attraction in the historical Siddhpeeth Maa Kunjapuri Tourism and Development Fair that took place in New Tehri, the enthusiastic singer found himself being criticized heavily by the cabinet minister of Uttarakhand, Subodh Uniyal. The evening meant to turn out a wonderful one with a splendid musical performance of the singer turned out to be a rather embarrassing one for him when the minister interrupted him on stage.

Why Did Uttarakhand Minister Rebuke Daler Mehndi During His Performance?

The whole scene took place during the religious Navratri season, which made the atmosphere surrounding the stage even more sensitive for both the organizing committee and the general public. Subodh Uniyal directly accused the pop star right from the stage, informing him that the crowd had come to watch the performance with great anticipation, not a poor one at all.
