Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) founder Abhijeet Dipke is heading back to his native village in Maharashtra after being released from detention in Delhi, following the death of his 85-year-old grandmother.

Dipke announced his departure in a post on X on Saturday, saying fellow party members Saurav Das and Ashutosh Ranka would address the media in Delhi. He also vowed that the party would continue its political activities despite the detention.

What did Abhijeet Dipke say after his release?

In his post, Dipke said he wanted to be with his family during the bereavement. Referring to the detention of CJP leaders on October 10, he described the day as “the beginning of the end of this dictatorship”. He added that the party would not be intimidated or retreat from its position.
