In a thrilling final under the lights of Itahari Stadium, Church Boys United of Kathmandu emerged victorious in the 14th Itahari Gold Cup, defeating Tribhuvan Army Club 1-0. This marks a triumphant reversal from their runner-up finish in the previous tournament.

Rajesh Pariyar secured Church Boys United’s win with an early goal just four minutes into the match. His stellar performance earned him the Man of the Match title and a 10,000 rupee cash prize. Church Boys United received a Rs 1 million cash prize for their championship victory, while Tribhuvan Army Club was awarded Rs 500,000 for their runner-up placement.

Social Development Minister of Koshi Province Rajendra Karki and Mayor of Itahari Sub-Metropolitan City Hem Karna Poudel honored the winners. The 14th Itahari Gold Cup saw nine teams compete, including one from India.
