British Gurkhas Nepal celebrates Dashain in three cities (photo feature)

KATHMANDU: The British Gurkhas Nepal (BGN) celebrated Dashain 2026 in Kathmandu, Pokhara, and Dharan, bringing together its personnel, families, and partners for cultural performances and religious observances while honoring those who lost their lives in the recent Bhotekoshi-Trishuli floods and expressing solidarity with ongoing recovery efforts.

The celebrations were held in Pokhara on October 12 and in Kathmandu and Dharan on October 16. The annual events featured performances by BGN personnel, children, and professional artists, showcasing Nepal’s religious and cultural diversity during the country’s major Hindu festival.
