A tragic jeep accident near Sailabgad in Nepal’s Talkot Rural Municipality has resulted in the death of Sushmita Kathayat. The jeep, traveling from Bajhang to Chainpur, lost control and fell approximately 70 feet off the road on Thursday evening.
The driver, Rajesh Kumar Kadal, and co-driver, Kamal Kathayat, were injured in the crash and are receiving treatment at Chainpur District Hospital. Sadly, despite urgent transport to the district hospital, Sushmita Kathayat was pronounced dead.
Deputy Superintendent of Police Bharat Bahadur Shah of the Bajhang District Police Office confirmed the fatality. The cause of the accident is currently under investigation.
