Around 5,000 households of northern Gorkha without electricity

Gorkha, Oct 12: Around 5,000 households of northern Gorkha are living without electricity from Sunday midnight after Budhigandaki flood destroyed the Sirdibas Uhiya micro-hydropower project.

Power supply has been obstructed at Chumnubri rural municipality-3 and 6 after the flash floods damaged the hydropower project, said Hydropower Project Chairperson Sujan Gurung.

Electricity supply has been disrupted at Lokpa, Dungla, Nyak, Philim, Chisapani, Anga, Nagchet, Ghattekhola, Pangsing, Jagat, Salleri, Paiyun, Bhaluban, Sirdibas and Jagat of Chumnubri, he mentioned.
