The Andhra Pradesh Teachers Federation (APTF) State sub-committee has named its former State general secretary, P. Panduranga Varaprasada Rao, as its candidate for the Krishna–Guntur Teachers’ Legislative Council constituency election.

The committee considered the views of the executive bodies and sub-committees of the erstwhile combined Krishna, Guntur and Eluru districts before finalising his candidature.
