Andhra Pradesh IAS Transfer: A fresh administrative reshuffle in Andhra Pradesh has brought several IAS officers into new roles, including senior bureaucrat Kata Amrapali, who has been appointed Secretary of the Tourism and Culture Department. The state government issued the transfer and posting orders on October 12, 2026, assigning responsibilities to officers who had been waiting for postings and reshuffling other administrative positions.

The orders, issued through G.O.RT No. 1985, also cover appointments in tribal welfare, youth services, industries, social welfare and other departments. The changes take immediate effect, according to the government order as reported by Telugu news outlets.

Amrapali’s appointment stands out because she previously held a leadership position in Andhra Pradesh’s tourism sector before the government directed her to report to the General Administration Department in August. Her latest posting returns her to the tourism and culture portfolio, while the broader reshuffle assigns new duties to several other IAS officers.
