The Nepal Volleyball Association (NVA) kicks off the 8th Prime Minister’s Cup NVA Volleyball 2024 Tournament today! The action starts at the National Sports Council (Rakhep) covered hall in Tripureshwor, with a packed schedule of four men’s matches and two women’s matches.
Fans can catch the first men’s match at 9:00 AM as Tiptop Help Nepal goes head-to-head against Budhanilkantha Volleyball Club. The women’s competition begins at 3:00 PM, with the Armed Police Force (APF) facing off against the Club from Chandragiri Municipality.
Eight teams are vying for glory in the men’s league: Tiptop Help Nepal, APF, Tribhuvan Army Club, Nepal Police Club, Koshi Pradesh, Gandaki Pradesh, Sudurpaschim Pradesh, and Budhanilkanth Volleyball Club.
On the women’s side, six teams will battle it out: Police, APF, New Diamond, Army, Everest Volleyball Club Butwal, and Karnali.
The stakes are high, with the winning teams in both the men’s and women’s categories taking home a whopping Rs. 8 lakh in prize money. Second place gets Rs. 4 lakh, and third place secures Rs. 2 lakh.
Individual player recognition is also on the line. The best libero, server, blocker, lifter, spiker, and coach will each receive Rs. 20,000 for their outstanding performance.
