7 Nepali Workers Killed in Vehicle Accident in Nainital

Biratchowk, Nepal – A devastating vehicle accident in the Nainital district of Uttarakhand, India has claimed the lives of eight people, including seven Nepali nationals. The victims, residents of Mahendranagar in Kanchanpur, were reportedly returning home from their work on the Jal Jeevan water project in the Indian village of Unchakote.

The accident occurred near Betalghat on Monday night. Two other Nepalis sustained injuries and are currently receiving treatment. The Indian driver of the vehicle was also among those killed in the tragedy.

Both the Times of India and Hindustan Times have reported on the incident, expressing condolences to the families of those lost.
