The Andhra Pradesh government has so far distributed 40.58 lakh pattadar passbooks to farmers in the State and it will distribute the remaining 51 lakh passbooks by setting monthly targets, Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu has said.
During his visit to Narsingula village in Jarugumalli mandal in Kondapi constituency of Prakasam district on Friday, the Chief Minister distributed pattadar passbooks to 1,301 farmers across eight villages of four mandals in the district, under ‘Mee Bhumi-Mee Hakku’ (Your Land-Your Right) programme. He said the government had been issuing secure passbooks with the State emblem and enhanced security features following Resurvey 2.0.
The Chief Minister said, “In October alone, over 4 lakh official passbooks (bearing the State emblem) have been distributed across 790 villages. I am personally participating in the distribution programmes to ensure that no one in the State suffers any loss. The goal is to distribute secure passbooks with complete transparency, reaching every individual.”
