Three Nepali women were denied entry to the United Arab Emirates on visit visas. Their agent, Bhabilal Thapa, has been arrested in connection with the incident. Authorities questioned the women and Thapa at Tribhuvan International Airport before preventing them from traveling to Dubai on Thursday night.
Police suspect that this case may be linked to networks that lure Nepali citizens with promises of jobs abroad while initially using visit visas. Recent reports have uncovered that Nepali youths, who entered Dubai on visit visas, were later recruited into the Russian Army through the help of such agents.
