Newly appointed Karnali Chief Minister Yam Lal Kandel, leader of the CPN-UML, has officially taken his oath of office and secrecy. State Chief Tilak Pariyar administered the oath during a ceremony on Wednesday.
Kandel’s appointment on Tuesday came with the support of the CPN-Maoist Center and the United Socialist Party. His swearing-in follows Article 168, sub-section 2 of the Constitution. Kandel assumes office effective Wednesday.
