In July of this year the new Superman movie for James Gunn’s DCU will finally will be available. However, Warner Bros. is already thinking in the future, since the next film of this cinematographic universe, Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow, is already in production, and the leadership of the study has taken the first look at this project.
Through his Bluesky account, James Gunn shared an image that gives us a better look at Millly Alcock as Supergirl in Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow, a film that will reach theaters until next year. This was what the producer commented on this:
“I am excited to see the camera rolling in Warner Bros. Studios Leavesden in Supergirl, with Craig Gillespie in command and the phenomenal Milly Alcock as our kara zor-el.”
Thrilled to see cameras roll at Warner Bros. Studios Leavesden on Supergirl, with Craig Gillespie at the helm and the phenomenal Milly Alcock as our Kara Zor-El.

Similarly, Gunn has confirmed that Craig Gillespie, the director of Cruella and I, Tonya, will be in command of the film, just as multiple reports pointed last year. Unfortunately, for the moment there are no more details about this project, and its exact premiere date is unknown.
Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow will be inspired by the comic of the same name, and will feature Jason Momoa as a wolf, something that fans have been waiting for years. In the comic, an extraterrestrial girl named Ruthye Marye Knoll requests Supergirl’s help to take revenge on her father’s murderer, Krem of the yellow hills.
This work was nominated “best limited series” at the EISNER Awards of 2022, and although it can serve as a good starting point, it is likely that the tape has several differences with this work. In related issues, here you can see the new look at Superman. Similarly, DC officially reveals the Superman Unlimited comic.
