The vote counting for Kirtipur Municipality is set to begin today. According to Election Officer Indira Karki, an all-party meeting held a while ago decided to commence the counting from 10 PM tonight.
The all-party meeting agreed to start with the mayoral vote count in Ward No. 1, followed by the ward chairperson’s count. Similarly, in Ward No. 4, the counting will also begin with the mayoral votes, followed by the ward chairperson’s.
Subsequently, the vote counting will proceed sequentially for Wards No. 2 through 10.
Earlier today, an understanding was reached among party representatives not to count the mayoral votes. However, the all-party meeting reversed this decision and resolved to count the mayoral votes as well.
