The United States Men’s National Team kicked off their Copa America 2024 campaign with a convincing 2-0 victory over Bolivia at AT&T Stadium on Monday morning.
Christian Pulisic wasted no time in getting the party started for the home crowd, putting the U.S. on the board in just the 3rd minute. Timothy Weah delivered a pinpoint pass that found Pulisic in stride, who coolly slotted the ball home. This goal marked Pulisic’s 30th international strike in just 69 appearances for the Stars and Stripes.
The American dominance continued in the second half when Folarin Balogun doubled the lead. Pulisic, once again instrumental, provided the assist, setting up Balogun for a comfortable finish.
Pulisic’s stellar performance, with a goal and an assist, earned him the well-deserved Player of the Match award.
With this win, the U.S. takes control of Group C. They’ll look to build on this momentum when they face Panama in their next match, while Bolivia will aim to bounce back against Uruguay.
