Thirteen years after the last chapter of the series, here Koei Tecmo presents Ninja Gaiden 4: a new adventure that aims to merge the tradition of the saga with the modern elements that are required of a current video game.
Developed by Team Ninja with the collaboration of Platinumgames, Ninja Gaiden 4 aims to push the veterans to the limit without preventing new arrivals from having fun with an exciting adventure full of twists.
Following the resurrection of an ancient enemy, an endless rain of Miasa breaks down on the Tokyo of a near future. The fate of the city is in the hands of a young Ninja Prodigio, Yakumo, who will have to make his way between a sea of ninja cybernetic soldiers and otherworldly creatures, while looking for a way to perform the fate that binds him to the legendary Ryu Hayabusa and at the same time free Tokyo with the ancient curse that afflicts it.
“Since some time has passed since the last game, we wanted a new hero to make the series more accessible to the new players,” said the producer Yuji Nakao regarding the change of protagonist. “Of course, we also wanted that longtime fans had fun with the game, so Ryu Hayabusa plays a significant role in history, acting as an important challenge and milestone of growth for Yakumo. Ryu will appear during the game and will be playable, ensuring that his ability and presence are deeply perceived. “
