Two women, 50-year-old Jupali Budha and 44-year-old Sangita Sunar of Birendranagar Municipality-2, Surkhet, were killed in an axe attack in Ghorahi Sub-Metropolitan-10, Pahelpar, Dang.
The incident occurred around 5 pm on Saturday. Police have arrested 57-year-old Tek Bahadur Gharti, an auto-rickshaw driver residing in Ghorahi, in connection with the murders. Gharti is originally from Thawang Rural Municipality-2 in Rolpa district.
DSP Janaka Bahadur Malla of the District Police Office, Dang, stated that the investigation is ongoing, and further details about the incident are yet to be revealed.
