Khadachakra: Two individuals were injured in a tractor accident that occurred in Tadi, Khadachakra Municipality-3, on Sunday morning.
The incident took place around 10 AM when a tractor, bearing registration number Karnali Pradesh 001 TA 0478, carrying a load of wood from Tila Karnali Campus to Tadi market, veered off the road near the local health unit. The driver, 25-year-old Ganesh Pandey of Khadachakra Municipality-3, and his 15-year-old co-driver, Apil Bishwakarma of Sanni Triveni Rural Municipality-5, sustained injuries in the accident.
Bishwakarma’s condition is reported to be more critical, and he is currently undergoing treatment at District Hospital, Manma. Pandey suffered a broken finger and is receiving medical attention.
According to Senior Constable Bal Bahadur Bhandari of the temporary police station in Wit Tadi, the tractor plummeted approximately 50 meters downhill after its brakes failed. A resident, Dhankrishna Pandey, corroborated the account, stating that the vehicle careened towards a nearby garden. Both the driver and co-driver were injured while attempting to jump to safety.
